CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - A 41-year-old man died after his car traveled across two sets of railroad tracks and lost control driving off the right side of the roadway striking a concrete bridge barrier, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Authorities said the accident occurred at 12:38 p.m. Sunday on Coal Bank Road, south of Galehouse Road. The crash involved a black 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Joshua R. Robinson 41, of Akron, Ohio.

The Wayne County Coroner’s Office and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.

Authorities said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this crash. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
