Gunman robs Akron pizza delivery driver

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A 19-year-old man is behind bars, after police said he robbed a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint.

According to Akron police, Andre Yeager Jr. robbed the 18-year-old Domino’s Pizza employee around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 1 in the 2300 block of 29th St. SW.

The victim told officers when she arrived at the home, a woman approached her and asked for directions.

Moments later, Yeager allegedly came up behind the victim, pointed a gun at her and demanded cash.

After the victim handed over the cash, Yeager allegedly fled the scene.

The victim then returned to the Domino’s and called police.

Officers said when they went to the home, they arrested Yeager as he was leaving.

Yeager is charged with aggravated robbery.

Two handguns were also found inside the home, police said.
