CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - From midnight on Dec. 31, 2020 through 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2021, the Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said 10 people died on Ohio’s roadways.
According to the troopers, four victims were pedestrians and two people were killed because they were not wearing their seat belts in an accident.
Four of the deadly accidents were OVI-related and troopers said they had a total of 303 OVI arrests.
There were also 115 people cited for distracted driving.
During the 2019-2020 New Year’s holiday, four people were killed.
