CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper’s cruiser was struck during a chase early Friday morning.
Strongsville police said the incident began with the driver of a stolen car.
The driver went north on I-71 into Cleveland, which is where Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers then joined.
The chase ended in a crash at W. 56th Street and Denison Avenue when the driver crashed into a pole and knocked down some wires, said police.
Troopers said there was minor damage to the cruiser and the trooper inside was not injured.
Strongsville police said the driver is in custody.
