Former Richland County Jail contracted worker convicted of bringing meth into the jail

RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A former contracted kitchen worker at the Richland County Jail was sentenced to three years in prison for bringing drugs into the jail.

Grace Markley was convicted Friday of illegal conveyance of drugs, aggravated trafficking of drugs and aggravated possession of drugs.

The Mansfield woman was arrested on July 20, 2020.

According to the Richland County Sheriff, they received a tip Markely was going to sneak methamphetamines into the jail.

Deputies said when Markley arrived at work that day, they searched her and found the drugs.
