KENT, Ohio (WOIO) - Kent State announced students returning to on-campus living for the 2021 spring semester will move in in phases.
A simplified breakdown of the return schedule is below. More details can be found here.
PHASE 1: Jan. 4 through 11
Residence hall move-in begins Saturday, Jan. 10.
PHASE 2: Jan. 12 through 29
Some student workers will return to campus.
Spring semester courses begin Tuesday, Jan. 19. Most classes will begin remotely. Classes will transition to in-person two weeks into the semester. Select class that require in-person instruction will be held in-person.
PHASE 3: Feb. 1 through May 12
In-person campus tours begin Feb. 1.
In-person and remote instruction continues through Friday, April 9.
Following spring break, which occurs April 12 through 18, students will remain in remote classes.
Remote instruction continues through the end of the semester. Finals are from May 6 through 12.
Throughout all the phases, visitors are required to wear masks and remain socially distant.
Employees are asked to work remotely if able. Kent State will minimize the amount on-campus employees by only staffing to maintain campus operations.
