CARLISLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - A physical altercation led to a man’s death on Friday night, Lorain County Sheriff’s Office said.
A 37-year-old man involved in the fight now faces charges of voluntary manslaughter, according to a release.
Authorities said the 37-year-old man called 911 around 11:30 p.m. on Friday.
He reported he and a second man were bloody and injured after getting into a fight, according to a release.
The man told police he didn’t know his location, and cell towers pinged him in the area of Mills Circle and LaGrange Road in Lorain County.
Authorities found an unresponsive man upon their arrival. Life-saving measures were performed, but the man ultimately died.
The 37-year-old man was found bloody and standing in the roadway, police said.
EMS initially took the 37-year-old man to University Hospitals in Elyria.
He was arrested and taken to Lorain County Jail upon his release from the hospital, according to a release.
The identity of the deceased is not yet released.
Lorain County Sheriff’s Office continues investigating.
