Homeless man goes to prison for 32 years for attacking 4 people with saw in Lake County

PAINESVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - A 31-year-old homeless man convicted of violently attacking four other homeless people with a saw last August, was sentenced to a minimum of 28 years and a maximum of 32 years in prison.

A Lake County jury found Brandon Hodgson guilty of multiple counts of felonious assault for the Aug. 24, 2020 assault.

Hodgson and the victims lived in tents in the area off N. Ridge Roads between Bacon and Fairport Nursery Roads in Painesville Township.

One woman and three men were injured in the attack.

All of their injuries were near life-threatening and one victim lost an eye.
