CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - We will be staying quite cloudy tonight.
Due to all of that cloud cover, temperatures will remain relatively steady through the overnight hours.
Expect temperatures around 30 degrees for most of the evening and into tomorrow morning.
We should finally see the return of some sunshine during the day Wednesday, as “warm” southerly winds boot this cloud cover out of town.
Temperatures will warm into the low to mid 40s on Wednesday afternoon.
Some spots will be about 10 degrees above normal for this time of the year!
Won’t that be nice after this cloudy start to the week?
High pressure will return to the region on Thursday, making for another quiet and dry day.
I do think we will see more cloud cover on Thursday, but at least we will stay dry and fairly mild.
Expect highs Thursday afternoon in the low to mid 40s.
The pattern will change by Friday, as a cold front moves through northern Ohio.
This feature will bring us a light mix of rain and snow during the day Friday.
This precipitation will begin by mid-morning as a light wintry mix, and then transition over to mainly light rain during the afternoon as highs warm into the low 40s.
We’ll likely transition back to a mix of rain and snow on Friday night as temperatures fall into the upper 20s.
Another disturbance will move through the area on Saturday, facilitating the development of more snow showers.
These won’t be terribly efficient due to the fact that this air isn’t quite Arctic enough, but we should have enough moisture in place to at least support scattered snow showers Saturday.
A few additional snow showers are possible on Sunday, but mainly in the Primary Snow Belt.
We’ll have a better shot for more scattered snow showers overnight Sunday into Monday.
It’s also going to be quite chilly and more seasonable this weekend with highs only in the low 30s and morning temperatures down in the 20s.
