SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - A 44-year-old man is jailed after Summit County Sheriff SWAT and deputies discovered a piece of stolen equipment worth more than $50,000 on his property, authorities said.
Authorities arrested Brandon Lucien on weapons charges, assaulting a law enforcement officer and receiving stolen property, according to a release.
A release said law enforcement executed a search warrant of Lucien’s home after receiving a tip about stolen property being there.
Authorities found cash, drugs, thousands of rounds of ammunition, firearm parts and 10 firearms when searching the home, according to a release.
When they attempted to arrest Lucien, he sought a firearm, the release said. He is now in the Summit County Jail.
SWAT and deputies found a Kubota truck loader at Lucien’s home, according to a release. The equipment was reported stolen in 2019 from the City of Green.
Law enforcement said two of the 10 guns were manipulated to fire fully automatic or equipped with illegal accessories.
Lucien may face additional charges depending on the outcome of further investigation.
