OBERLIN, Ohio (WOIO) - Two suspects fled the scene on foot as a 20-year-old man was injured after a shooting, Oberlin Police Department said.

Police said they responded to the residence at the 200 block of South Park Street about a shooting victim shortly after 4 Sunday afternoon. Officers located the victim with a gunshot wound to the upper left thigh outside of the residence. Responding officers rendered first aid to the victim on the scene. The victim was initially taken by ambulance to Mercy Allen Hospital and subsequently taken to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center for further treatment.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

Police said the initial investigation indicates two suspects were in the living area of the residence with the victim when some sort of altercation began. Shots were fired and a struggle ensued between the victim and the assailants spilling into the driveway. The assailants fled the scene on foot. A vehicle of interest was impounded and three firearms were recovered. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Crime Scene Unit responded and assisted with evidence collection.

This investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
