Murder mystery: Who killed young father?

OBERLIN, Ohio (WOIO) - A 21-year-old man died at the hospital one day after being shot.

Oberlin police said Tray Porter was found in a parking lot in the 200 block of South Park Street on Jan. 31.

Officers responded to the area after several people called 911 and found Porter laying in the snow.

“There was screaming and he’s not conscious, he’s laying on the ground not moving,” said one caller.

EMS transported the Olmsted Falls man to to Mercy Health Hospital and later that day, he was transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center.

Porter died from his injuries on Feb. 1.

A woman identifying herself as Porter’s sister on social media wrote this message about her brother:

“Tray was a wonderful father, son, brother and friend who touched the lives of those around him. We are all devastated by Tray’s unexpected passing.”

Oberlin police said there are no arrests.
