CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Saying “I have 2 daughters of my own,” Indians president Chris Antonetti admitted Thursday he was “disturbed and distraught” by harassment allegations against former pitching coach Mickey Callaway.
The story was reported by The Athletic earlier this week.
Callaway, who served under Terry Francona during the Tribe’s World Series run in 2016, was accused by 5 women in the story of sexual harassment and unwanted advances, once offering to trade information for sex.
He has since been suspended by his current team, the Los Angeles Angels, pending an investigation.
Antonetti was also asked if he’d heard similar allegations against Francona, and replied “No, I have not.”
