CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 68-year-old man died Friday from gunshot wounds suffered in a shooting at a Central Avenue home.
Cleveland Police said officers found three people shot when they arrived to the 5000 block of Central Avenue just after midnight.
Police said a 68-year-old man and his 65-year-old girlfriend were at their home when the woman’s nephew came there.
Police allege that the nephew, a 44-year-old man, shot the 68-year-old man amid an argument. The 44-year-old man also suffered gunshot wounds, according to a release.
The woman was shot in the hand attempting to intervene, police said.
The incident occurred at a home near the corners of E. 59th St and Central Avenue.
EMS said first responders rushed the men to University Hospitals in critical condition.
Cleveland Police arrested the 44-year-old man.
The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is investigating.
