Homicide investigation underway after body found in field on Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland Police are searching for the killer who left a male’s body in a field in the early morning hours on Monday.

Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said officers were sent to the 10010 block of Adams Avenue for the body found in the field at approximately 4:35 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found the victim down with a handgun near his body, according to Ciaccia.

Ciaccia said EMS took him to University Hospitals where he was pronounced dead.

Members of the Homicide Unit learned on scene that a citizen reported hearing a loud bang, looked outside, saw what appeared to be a body in the field, and called 911, according to Ciaccia.

No arrests have been made or suspects identified, Ciaccia said.
