CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Well, the good news is, the NFL is expected to cut back from four preseason games to three.

The bad news, at least in the eyes of the majority of NFL players? The regular season will be, as expected, expanded to 17 games.

The 17-game season was part of the new collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players Association.

It was ratified in March of 2020, and while it remains unpopular among many current and former players ...

It still passed, by just 60 votes.

Each team will play an opponent from the other conference.

According to Peter King of NBC Sports, the Browns will host the Arizona Cardinals in the extra game, meaning nine home games for Browns fans instead of the usual eight.
