CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The search is on by Cleveland Police for six unknown males involved in the homicide of a driver on the city’s East Side.
Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said officers responded to the 3590 block of East 105th Street around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday for a male who was shot.
When officers arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head in the driver’s side of a car that crashed into two other cars, according to Ciaccia.
Ciaccia said EMS took him to University Hospitals where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary information from the Homicide Unit indicates the victim was parked on East 105th Street when he was approached by six unknown males, according to Ciaccia.
As one of the suspects fired multiple shots into the victim’s car, the victim accelerated and drove a short distance before crashing, Ciaccia said.
The suspects then took off running, Ciaccia said.
