CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A man who had been panhandling was shot to death Saturday morning in Cleveland’s Buckeye-Shaker neighborhood.
Cleveland police were called to 2953 East 128th Street shortly before 10 a.m. on a report that a male had been shot, according to a police media release.
At the scene, officers discovered a 32-year-old on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and body. Officers attempted lifesaving measures, the release said, but the man died at the scene.
Police say they do not know whether that man is responsible for the shooting. A male was seen running through yards away from the scene, according to the report.
Police said that the man had been panhandling near the intersection of East 130th Street and Buckeye Road and had been seen leaving the area with an unknown male.
No arrests have been made, police said. Homicide detectives are investigating.
