37-year-old woman found murdered in Euclid

EUCLID, Ohio (WOIO) - Police officers have charged a husband with murdering his 37-year-old wife.

Mwaka Azali was found dead inside the couple’s home in the 100 block of E. 265th Street Wednesday evening.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner said she died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Omnisun Azali, 35, was arrested on Thursday.

The Euclid man had a bond hearing in Euclid Municipal Court Friday morning and the judge set bond at $1 million.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim, her family and loved ones,” said Euclid Police Captain Mitch Houser.

No other details are being released at this time.
