Dear Ancestors: Letters celebrate, reflect on Juneteenth

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - In commemoration of Juneteenth, community members and 19 News compose letters to their African American ancestors.
Juneteenth or Freedom Day marks when hundreds of thousands of slaves were told they were free from enslavement.
The letters look back on how far the community has come and thank those who sacrificed and paved the way.
