CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - After a beautiful, sun-filled Thursday, Old Man Winter will return tomorrow evening.

A wintry mix of rain and snow will develop through the afternoon.

The wintry mix will change to all snow overnight as temperatures fall into the 20s.

Drivers will encounter wet roads and will contend with reduced visibility during Friday evening’s commute.

Road conditions will deteriorate overnight Friday once the precipitation switches over to all snow.

If you’ll be out and about late Friday night, be aware of the threat for reduced visibility and snow-coated roads.

The system snow will linger through about mid-morning Saturday before the lake effect snow machine kicks on in the afternoon.

Remember, with lake effect snow, travel conditions can change rapidly.

Please be mindful of this on Saturday, especially in the Primary and Secondary Snow Belts.

Saturday will also feature bitterly cold weather.

Temperatures will only top out in the 20s, but with the wind factored in, it will feel as if it’s in the teens and single digits all day.

Area-wide, we’re looking at two to four inches of snowfall Friday night into Saturday morning, with the higher totals being farther east.

This does not include the lake effect snow we’ll see Saturday.

A fast-moving little system will drop in on Sunday, bringing us light snow showers through the day.
