How end of 3G network service will impact your older smartphone, other devices
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cell phone companies are ending their 3G network service.
It means older smartphones and other devices, including medical devices, security systems and more, will no longer work.

People with older vehicles could also run into issues with features that utilize the internet- including built-in safety features, services that automatically call for help in the event of a crash and tools that allow you to remotely lock and unlock doors.
AT&T has already ended its 3G service with other companies planning to sunset theirs this year.
The companies are shifting their bandwidth resources toward the expansion of far more advanced 5G technology.
