CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - After being promised a clean street, neighbors on Cleveland’s West Side are still waiting for a landlord to keep up their end of the bargain.

It’s been almost a month since roof workers left a mountain of trash in front of a house being renovated on West 59th Street.

Louis Rivera told 19 News no one lives in the house, but he has seen people come by, but no one has cleaned up the mess.

“I’m getting mad because I always keep everything clean at my house,” said Rivera.

“I’ve called the city a bunch of times,” complained another 19 News viewer who didn’t want to give their name.

Earlier this month, our Troubleshooter team called the city to see who owned the property and if there was anything they could do, but no one responded.

A worker at the home told our team earlier this month the trash would be cleaned up by April 14.

Our team went back to the home on April 14 and saw the front yard was cleaned up, but there is still trash in the driveway.

A person working inside the home promised to have everything cleaned up by the weekend.

19 News will be checking back.
