Man shot on Cleveland’s Public Square, suspected gunman on the loose, police say
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A man was shot in Cleveland’s Public Square just south of Euclid Avenue in the East 1st alleyway on Wednesday afternoon, Cleveland Police confirmed.
First responders were called to the scene at approximately 4:40 p.m., Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.
The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment, according to Ciaccia.
Police did not state what his condition was.
Preliminary investigation information indicates the victim appears to know the suspect, but the victim is currently not cooperating with detectives, police stated.
