Heavy lake effect snow will impact northern Ohio on Saturday night, Sunday (19 First Alert Weather Days)
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The 19 First Alert Weather Team has issued a 19 First Alert Weather Day for Saturday night through Sunday.
Heavy lake effect snow will develop after 7:00 p.m. Saturday, and conditions will deteriorate where the snow bands set up.
Expect bands and squalls of snow in the Primary and Secondary Snow Belts from Saturday evening through late Sunday afternoon.
Outside of the Primary and Secondary Snow Belts, there will only be light, passing snow showers throughout the weekend.
Winds will be a major issue Saturday evening into Sunday, too.
Winds may gust over 40 mph, creating areas of blowing and drifting snow, further reducing visibility in squalls.
The snow will lift northeast out of our area on Sunday evening.
While the weekend will be bitterly cold, the cold won’t stick around!
We’ll see a nice little warm up into the 40s leading up to Thanksgiving.
