KENT, Ohio (WOIO) - The suspect of a Kent homicide was arrested in Texas Monday, according to police.

Kent police said the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, which is in the Houston area, reported arresting the suspect, 44-year-old Dawan Wilson.

Wilson will be brought back to Portage County to face charges for the November homicide.

The homicide happened around 2 p.m. on Nov. 21 in the 1300 block of South Water Street.

Police responded to the scene after callers reported hearing screams and gunshots.

Police say they found a 35-year-old woman inside the residence who had been shot and killed.

No further information is available on Wilson’s arrest at this time, police said.
