Jorge Ramos Pantoja is a Reporter and Producer with experience covering national issues, culture, and breaking news.
Jorge joins the Cleveland 19 News team from New York City where he worked as a Breaking News Reporter for NY1 News. There he had the chance to cover a variety of stories such as the 2018 Flatiron District Explosion, Migrant Children Separations and Reunifications, and Hurricane Maria Survivors Exodus in New York City. In addition, Jorge served the local audience as a Freelance Producer for News 12 Networks. Engaging with people, learning about their success and challenging experiences inspires him every day to tell stories and make this nation a more diverse and inclusive one.
Born and raised by the beach in the Southwest coast of Puerto Rico, Jorge graduated from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, with Bachelor of Arts in Communications specialized in Broadcast, and a Minor Degree in Business Administration. Before graduating Jorge discovered his passion for Journalism when he joined New York University’s Global Program in New York City, where he obtained most of his experience in News and Television.
In October 2018 Jorge joined the Cleveland 19 News team to develop and launch the first Spanish local digital newscast in Cleveland, “Cleveland Al Día.” Therefore, he is looking forward to discover and experiene all the great things Northeast Ohio has to offer.
Besides his passion for news and television, Jorge enjoys getting “sun-kissed” by the beach, traveling, stage performances, and a good cafecito cubano.
