Jorge Ramos Pantoja is a Bilingual Reporter and News Anchor with experience covering national issues, culture, and breaking news.
Jorge joins the 19 News team from New York City where he worked as a Breaking News Reporter for NY1 News. In addition, Jorge served the local audience as a Freelance Producer for News 12 Networks. Engaging with people, learning about their success and challenging experiences inspires him every day to tell stories and make this nation a more diverse and inclusive one.
Born and raised by the beach in the Southwest coast of Puerto Rico, Jorge graduated from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, with Bachelor of Arts in Communications specialized in Broadcast, and a Minor Degree in Business Administration. Before graduating Jorge discovered his passion for Journalism when he joined New York University’s Global Program in New York City.
In October 2018 Jorge joined the Cleveland 19 News team to create and launch the first Spanish newscast in the market, “Cleveland Al Día.” Therefore, he is looking forward to discover and experiene all the great things Northeast Ohio has to offer.
Besides his passion for news and television, Jorge enjoys getting “sun-kissed” by the beach, traveling, stage performances, and a good cafecito cubano.
