CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - A sudden change of heart for one of Cuyahoga County's leading government executives.

After a 19 Action News Investigation, Bill Denihan has rejected any increase and compensation in a new contract.

Denihan earns 149K a year. He had been in line for extra vacation, a bigger car allowance and money for education.

But 19 Action News has learned that Bill Denihan will not take any extra perks and his salary will stay the same.

His new contract proposal called for an extra 2 weeks vacation, more money for a car allowance and three-thousand dollars for education.

Now he's saying NO to the extra perks, citing quote devastating budget reductions.

Hmm, we can only wonder if this revelation came after 19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek started asking questions.

Denihan runs Cuyahoga County's Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board.
