Tragic Fire: One Person Killed In Wednesday Morning's Eastside Blaze

NEW DETAILS: CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - One person was killed in a fire just before 8 a.m. Wednesday at a home on the city's eastside.

57-year-old Ernestine Carter was killed in the raging fire on E. 176th Street.

When firefighters arrived, there was heavy smoke and fire on the first and second floors.

An adult son lived with Carter but was not home at the time of the fire.

19 Action News has learned there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
