CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Ohio's oldest and largest black newspaper, the Call & Post put a cartoon of State Senator Nina Turner on its front page.

The problem is the cartoon depicted the black senator as "Aunt Jemima" and it has proven to be quite a controversy.

Associate Publisher and editor of the Call & Post, Constance Harper says, "the justification is and we felt and it has proven to be true that is was an attention getter."

The senator was the only black politician to outwardly back issue 6, the controversial change of county government.
