iPad: Apple may have a new Hit on its Hands

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Has Apple outdone itself again? 

The company said it sold more than 300,000 iPads on opening day.

Some customers lined up for hours over the weekend to get what' being billed by tech-heads as latest, hottest new computer tablet.

The tablet computer can play movies, store e-books and surf the Internet.

Another plus, iPad allows users to connect to the Internet through AT&T instead of just WiFi only.

Apple isn't saying exactly how many orders it has taken.

Some estimates say around half a million.

Apple expects to sell 1.3 million iPads in the first quarter at $499 dollars a pop.

The iPad has been described by Apple CEO Steve Jobs as magical.

The gadget is scheduled to release in Britain, Australia, Japan and other countries later this
