CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -  A Cleveland man is facing charges for stashing weapons and his hideout was only uncovered after a stunt he pulled at Cleveland City Hall.

Police say Ronald Parton, who's already on probation and ordered to stay away from city hall, apparently has a hard head.

Parton sent Cleveland Councilman Zack Reed a balloon and then a handwritten note to council asking them to sell guns for him.

Councilman Zack Reed could not believe it.

"He delivered a balloon and an envelope to my office for whatever reason I have no idea who the hell this guy is and he delivered it to my office. What makes it so annoying to me and so scary to me is the fact that we're public officials we're out in the public all the time, and of the 19 council people he chose me."

Police search Parton's house and found several guns, ammunition and even a camouflage vest.

Cuyahoga County prosecutors are reviewing the case.
