BRATENAHL, OH (WOIO) - An officer critically injured in a crash more than four years ago returned to work Saturday.
The accident happened on I-90 in April 2006.
Bratenahl Sergeant Chuck Lobello and fellow officer Eric Drottar had just stopped to investigate an accident when Thomas Kuhn and his semi plowed into the police cruiser.
Drottar was in a coma for two weeks with a severe head injury. He exceeded all doctors' expectations and fully recovered.
In April of 2007, Kuhn was found guilty of failure to control vehicle, operating without reasonable control and approaching a stationary public vehicle.
Kuhn was fined $300.00 plus court costs. There was no jail time.
