UPDATE: CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The second suspect in a violent home invasion and rape is now behind bars.
Police arrested Donnell Perry for his role in the Tremont attack. Perry was found hiding in a Gallup Avenue home armed with a handgun. After a brief struggle, he was placed under arrest and hauled off to jail.
Aggravated burglary, rape and a concealed weapon charges are pending in the upcoming days.
Officials say Perry and another man - Daniel M. Schaar - broke into a woman's home in Tremont and then one of them raped her. The victim did not know her attackers.
The victim's 27-year-old brother was sleeping in the home at the time of the attack, but didn't hear anything.
His car, a 1994 Ford Escort was also stolen, but police have since recovered it. The thugs also swiped a computer and bank card.
Schaar appeared in court Thursday morning and pleaded not guilty to the charges. His bond was set at $50K.
