Christopher Lathan is charged with involuntary manslaughter and obstructing official business by homicide detectives.
He is scheduled to appear in court Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.
According to police reports on January 8th, the family had reported that Robert Lathan was possibly involved in car accident with another family member earlier in the day.
Police, Texas Equusearch and the Geauga County Sheriff's office searched for Robert for six days last winter.
His body was eventually discovered in Doan Brook Creek.
