Church describes theft as the "act of the devil"

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – Cleveland church goers are describing a robbery at the Fountain of Grace Christian Center as an act of the devil.

This, after someone stole a sign promoting the center's Second Annual Church Festival.

Next Saturday, they'll serve free food and give away 250 backpacks filled with school supplies at the church located at 843 E.105th Street in Cleveland, Ohio.

It will be hard to give the stuff away if they don't have a sign anymore to promote it. Pastor Albert Lewis at the center says "we just didn't understand… all we could see was an act of the devil… to just try and stop what we're doing out here."

The sign cost the center a couple of hundred dollars and was 12' tall and 8' wide. It's hard to believe someone would steal something so positive for this neighborhood.

With the sign stolen, Fountain of Grace Christian Center is now worried some neighborhood kids will miss the chance to get free school supplies.
