Cuyahoga River drowning victim identified

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - The body pulled from the Cuyahoga River in Akron Monday, has been id' d as 50-year-old Hilda Iris-Colon Saldana.

The 50-year-old woman went missing May 30th while wading with family in the Cascade Valley Metro Park in the Chuckery-area.

Family members say she was swept away by the current.

The Akron fire dive team searched for several days after she went missing, but then had to call off the search.

The Summit County coroner says her death has been ruled an accidental drowning.
