William Dembie, 42, has been a Lorain County Corrections Officer since 1999. He worked at the Lorain County Jail, where he has now been confined for the murder of his wife.

Dembie called Lorain County Sheriff Deputies around 1: 30 a.m. and told them he killed his wife. He said she was beheaded. When Sheriffs arrived on scene, Dembie came outside and confessed again. Deputies then placed him in custody.

Investigators continue to work the case, no word on motive at this time.

William Dembie was immediately placed on leave without pay.

Dembie made his intitial court appearance Thursday. His next court date is is set for August 18th.
