CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - Vote by Mail ballot applications are no longer automatically mailed to voters prior to each election by the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. This means voters must obtain their ballot applications on their own initiative if they wish to Vote by Mail.
The Board of Elections is sending an online Vote by Mail application link to over 400 organizations to enlist the community's help in encouraging voters to Vote by Mail. Election officials expect to reach thousands of voters through this program and provide them with a quick and easy method of requesting a ballot application. Anyone and everyone is welcome to place this link on their website.
"The Board of Elections is taking steps to make it as easy as possible for voters to request and receive a ballot application," said Jane Platten, the Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. "We have new website tools that allow voters to print personalized ballot applications or to request a ballot application to be mailed." said Platten.
Voters who do not have computer access may call the Board of Elections at 216-443-3298 to request a ballot application. Vote by Mail ballot applications are also available at all public libraries.
Voters are also reminded that the Ballot Application Return Envelopes are not postage-paid. Voters must put a stamp on their Ballot Application Return Envelope.
