Former Sheriff using campaign funds to pay restitution

He broke the law and now we're paying for it.

The Ohio Election Commission sided with former Cuyahoga County Sheriff Gerald McFaul saying it's okay for him to use campaign contributions to pay for his crimes.

McFaul pleaded guilty to numerous charges including: stealing money from his campaign.
He agreed to pay back $130,000 -- which of course is now coming from that same campaign fund.

Citing health reasons, McFaul retired in March of 2009 after serving the county for more than 30 years.
