Life in prison for predator who sexually assaulted young boy for years

The man who admitted to sexually assaulting a young boy over the course of several years was sentenced to prison on Friday.

Michael Wise was sentenced to life in prison - 108 years behind bars.

Between June 2007 and July 2011, 45-year-old Wise sexually assaulted a now 12-year-old boy while watching him for a close friend. The victim would spend the weekends at Wise's house.

On August 6, 2011, the victim disclosed to his father that Wise had touched him inappropriately while he was sleeping.

On August 18, 2011, Wise was arrested by Cleveland Police. On August 19, 2011, a search warrant was executed at Wise's residence where authorities seized a digital media storage device along with a computer. Officers also seized several additional items, including an external hard drive. Through computer forensics, officers discovered 44 videos and 63 photographs of the victim. In addition, officers discovered 16 videos and 38 images of child pornography that were downloaded from the Internet using file-sharing networks.

All of these videos and images depict prepubescent boys either nude or engaging in sexual activity with each other or adult men.

On January 27, 2012, Wise plead guilty to 16 counts of rape with sexual violent predator specifications, 39 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, 9 counts of minor in nude material or performance, and 1 count possessing criminal tools.
