Exterminator sprays, set traps for bed bugs at Ohio Lottery office

The Cleveland Health Dept. has confirmed that there are bed bugs in the Cleveland State Office building on West Superior.

A spokeswoman with the Health Department said that the bed bugs were confined only to the area that houses the Ohio Lottery office.

An exterminator was at the building on Monday to spray and set traps.

Statement from the Director of Public Affairs Ohio Department of Administrative Services:

The situation at the Lausche Building is under control. The exterminator was in the building yesterday (Monday) and sprayed the fourth floor and set up traps on flours 3-5. We are continuing to monitor the traps. Fortunately, it was a limited exposure and we were able to take action early enough to deal with the problem.
