SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - The victims of a deadly house fire in Shaker Heights earlier this week have been identified.
Fire officials say Jance Reynolds, 62, and Mary Paige Reynolds, 18, died in Tuesday morning's fire. They both died from smoke inhalation.
The father daughter appears to have been inseparable. Word has spread throughout the neighborhood that he refused to leave his daughter's side as the fire engulfed the house and the deadly smoke filled the dwelling.
Firefighters responded to the blaze on Daleford Road just around 4:30 a.m.
Despite flames and smoke firefighters were able to rescue five people. They were all rushed to Ahuja Medical Center but are expected to be OK.
Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries.
This is the first fatal fire in Shaker Heights in seven years.
The Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Cleveland Heights, where Mr. Reynolds was a deacon, is raising money to help the surviving members of his family.
They ask that you make your checks or money orders payable to Cedar Hill Baptist Church, but make sure you note that the donation is for the Reynolds Family Memorial Fund.
The church is also accepting donations of clothing for the family.

The cause of the fire and where it started is still being investigated.
