CLEVELAND - A $52 million jackpot in the Aug. 20 drawing of the multistate Mega Millions lottery was claimed Friday by a blind trust, keeping the identity of the winner secret.
Ohio Lottery spokeswoman Mardele Cohen said Dennis J. Siciliano, an attorney representing the ABC Blind Trust, claimed the jackpot, which will be paid in a discounted lump sum of $21,840,776 after taxes.
The holder of the winning ticket picked the numbers, the Ohio Lottery said.
The winning ticket was sold at Shaker Quality Foods in nearby Shaker Heights. The store will receive a $52,000 seller's bonus.
The winning numbers were 12, 17, 34, 37, 39 and the Mega Ball was 34.
