Child Enticement Alert: Mentor man asks for help finding dog

MENTOR, OH (WOIO) - On September 5th, 2013 at approximately 7:00a.m. the Mentor Police Department responded to the area of Ellington Place for a complaint of a white male in a dark colored car asking several juveniles if they could help him find his dog.

The juveniles refused to help the male and he left the area.

Further investigation revealed this same type of incident occurred on Saturday, August 31st, 2013 at approximately 1200p.m.  This second incident occurred on Bunker Cove, which is in the same development near today's incident.

The suspect and vehicle description in both incidents are as follows:

September 5th incident:

White male, medium build, mid 50's age.  Male had a full head of grey hair about 2 inches long which had few darker strands of hair "peppering" it.  Male had no facial hair but may have been a bit "scruffy".

Male was driving a late 90's dark green or black sedan with faded paint, rust and damage.

August 31st incident:

White male, grey hair, 55-60 years old. Male was driving a tan colored car which was rusted and damaged.

Witnesses were unable to obtain a license plate in either incident.  The male never exited the vehicle.  No children ever entered the vehicle.
