CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland 19's Chief Investigator Carl Monday crashed his investigation into illegal dirt bikes and ATVs right into City Hall.

This after the Cleveland 19 Investigative Unit discovered that Mayor Frank Jackson's grandson, also named Frank Jackson, is among those accused of riding dirt bikes illegally on city streets.

Monday spoke exclusively with Mayor Jackson, who admitted to his grandson's involvement.

"He has a fascination and a love of dirt bikes. He and some of his friends ride dirt bikes even though they are not supposed to ride them on the street. I think he is addicted, to tell you the truth," Mayor Jackson said.

The mayor says his 18-year-old grandson lives with him. He knows what he is doing on city streets is illegal and dangerous.

In late July, the younger Jackson was riding his dirt bike when he was struck by a car.

The bike was totaled and Jackson was hospitalized and underwent surgery for a broken collarbone.

What does Mayor Jackson say about his grandson, the Cleveland Police pursuit policy, and how this dangerous trend can be managed?

Carl Monday went straight to City Hall for the answers.
