CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of 37-year-old Yolanda Luckey.
Luckey was shot and killed while driving her car around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, October 24.
The fatal shooting happened in the 3100 block of E. 79th St.
Officers were dispatched to 7111 Garden Valley for shots fired and a car into a fence.
Investigators report that Luckey was found alone in the driver's seat with multiple gunshot wounds to her left side.
She was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS, where she was pronounced dead.
According to witnesses, Luckey was driving her vehicle on E. 79th, turning into Garden Valley, when a suspect vehicle, described as a dark colored SUV, pulled up next to her and shots were fired into her car. Afterwards the suspect vehicle drove off.
Police report that no suspect information is available.
Members of the homicide unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office responded to the scene for investigation. The CCMEO will determine the final cause of death.
