Groom surprises bride with first dance she'll never forget
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cuyahoga Falls native received the surprise of her life.
Melissa Baker and Brad Hewitt tied the knot March 12 at the Old Courthouse in downtown Cleveland.
The former Sports Illustrated model took to the dance floor with her new husband for their first dance.
Their song, "Like There's No Yesterday" by country music superstar Mark Wills.
15 seconds into the song, the music stopped.
"Hold on folks. I'm sorry. We're going to do a live version, if you don't mind," the DJ said.
The bride handled the 'oops' pretty good. She continued smiling the entire time. Her husband, who was the master-mind behind the surprise, calmed her with kisses.
The music began again. This time with a live version from Mark Wills.
Baker had no idea. Her husband slowly danced, leading her to face the stage, where Wills was performing.
Baker screamed to the top of her lungs.
Then the tears came.
Wills performed for the guests for more than an hour. The entire dance was captured by Selective Sound Entertainment and posted on YouTube.
