2 arrested in deadly shooting at 'Stop the Violence' rally

EUCLID, OH (WOIO) - Two people have been arrested after a deadly shooting at a "Stop the Violence" rally at Sims Park July 17.

Gerard Jones,19, of Euclid was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter. Bond was set at $200,000.

The second suspect is a 17-yer-old Cleveland resident. He's been turned over to juvenile detention and faces felony charges of aggravated murder and other related charges.

The shooting resulted in the death of 19-year-old Euclid resident Phillip Banks and a severe injury to an unnamed 12-year-old boy. The juvenile victim is currently hospitalized and recovering from a gunshot wound to his back. No further details of his condition are available.
