Security guard shoots at Burger King robbery suspect

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland security guard opened fire on a robbery suspect Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. at a Burger King on Broadway Avenue.
Officers say the suspect was armed with a knife.
The security guard was in the bathroom at the time of the robbery. The guard fired his gun at least once outside the restaurant, but the suspect was not hit.
The security guard chased the suspect and finally stopped him on East 59th.
The suspect is being treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
